Subscribe using RSS

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is used to subscribe to the feed of a website or blog. When you subscribe to the feed it means that you don’t have to visit the website to see if there is any new content. You can read the latest content in a feedreader, which is basically a web page containing all the feeds you subscribe to.

How Do You Subscribe?

To get started you need a feed reader. There are many different feed readers available and many are free to download and use. Google has one called Google Reader which is the most widely used feed reader. Once you have picked a feed reader you can subscribe to websites that have an RSS feed.

The most common symbol to look for if you want to subscribe to a feed is the orange RSS button that I have on my website. Clicking on the orange button will take you to my feed link.

Then you select your feedreader of choice such as Netvibes or Google Reader, click the subscribe button and you are done.
Next time you open your feadreader my RSS feed will be there with the last few posts visible.

If this is just not for you, you can choose to subscribe by email and have any new content delivered straight to your inbox. It’s safe and secure and you can unsubscribe at any time. We give you our word that we will never share your email address with anyone.
